Go beyond the essentials of grammar in this advanced grammar course. Take on trickier, more challenging grammar rules so you can review writing with a critical eye, write for different contexts and express yourself clearly.

Course Overview 

Learn to identify parts of a sentence, write sentences based on patterns, and spot and correct tricky grammar errors.  

Week 1: Review, Clauses and Phrases 
Week 2: Sentence Patterns and Diction 
Week 3: Verbs, Gerunds and Subject-Verb Agreement 
Week 4: Conditionals and Subjunctives 
Week 5: Common Grammatical Errors 
Week 6: Self-assessment, Personal Checklist and Editing Strategies 

How am I Assessed? 
This course is marked complete/incomplete, and is based on your attendance and participation. Your instructor provides you personalized feedback on the assignments you hand in.   

Expected Effort 
Expect to spend 2–3 hours per week completing readings, exercises and assignments, and participating in online discussion forums.
