Dr. Anita Palepu is a Professor, Eric W. Hamber Chair, and the Head of the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and Providence Health Care. She is the Co-Lead of the Data Science and Health (DASH) Cluster. As a scientist with the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences (CHEOS), Dr. Palepu’s research is in urban health, with particular interest in persons who are vulnerable to poor health outcomes, such as those who illicit substances and experience homelessness. Her interest also lies in co-creation of a strong health data science ecosystem to improve health care.
