Dr. Antonio Avina-Zubieta is a senior research scientist with Arthritis Research Canada and an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He was named the first BC Lupus Society Scholar and is currently the Walter and Marilyn Booth Research Scholar. Dr. Avina-Zubieta’s research focuses on the disease burden and inflammation associated with Systemic Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases (SARDs) and has extensive experience and expertise in the use of administrative data for health research.
