Dr. Kim McGrail is a Professor in the School of Population and Public Health and the Centre for Health Services and Policy Research at the University of British Columbia, and the Scientific Director for Population Data BC and the Health Data Research Network Canada. Her research interests are quantitative policy evaluation, population data science, and the ethical and technical aspects of the development and operation of large linked data systems. Dr. McGrail was part of the Expert Advisory Group for the pan-Canadian Health Data Strategy and is currently a member of the Global Partnership for AI as part of the Data Governance Working Group.
