UBC Credit Studies for Lifelong Learners

Under Age 65

Lifelong learners under the age of 65 who are interested in taking credit courses must first be admitted to UBC and given eligibility to register. Please follow the links below for information.

In addition to campus-based studies, credit courses are available online and at a distance. For information, see the UBC Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology.

Ages 65 and Over

The University of British Columbia currently offers lifelong learners ages 65 and over the opportunity to take most UBC credit (degree related) courses for general interest, free of application, tuition or student fees. Some conditions apply. Find out more about these UBC credit courses by viewing the Access Studies section of the UBC Student Services website.

Note that this is not applicable to UBC Extended Learning non-credit courses.
