Courses and Terms
Our 3-week university courses run Monday to Friday, with two hours of live online classes a day. Choose from July & August sessions.
For High School Students
Recommended for high school students ages 15–18 who have completed grade 10 or equivalent. In some circumstances we can accept 14-year-old students.
Eligibility
Recommended 78% average / 3.5 GPA / B average / IB 5 or higher / IELTS of 6.0 / TOEFL 80 or higher (or equivalent) for English language learners.
Letter of Completion
Receive a letter of completion when you successfully finish your course.
Easy Registration
No application, transcripts or proof of English proficiency is required. Simply check your eligibility and register!
Bursaries
The UBC President Bursary is available to British Columbia grade 11 students in need who meet eligibility criteria.
Try a University Subject
Taught by UBC professors and affiliated instructors, these 3-week online courses are a great way to explore popular subjects before you apply to university. Enjoy small virtual classes with a maximum 35 students, get to know your instructor, and meet other students in the Virtual Lounge. Get a taste of university learning – without the exams!

Study businesses that contribute to the social good, and pitch your own idea for a social enterprise.
Explorations of the Fantasyscape in Manga and Anime
Explore the fantasy world constructed in Japanese popular culture by looking at a series of texts from manga (Japanese comics) and anime (Japanese animation).
Introduction to Engineering
Learn about the profession of engineering, and the key disciplines.
Introduction to Psychology

At UBC, we offer a virtual classroom experience with easy-to-use technologies like Zoom. Watch live lectures, take part in interactive exercises and activities, and get to your classmates and instructor in small breakout rooms.
Virtual Student Lounge
Hosted by our Student Ambassadors, the Virtual Student Lounge is the place to chat and make friends with other Future Global Leaders students outside of class.
Bursaries for British Columbia Grade 11 Students
The UBC President Bursary program was set up to support grade 11 British Columbia high school students who can demonstrate financial need and who meet UBC Future Global Leaders eligibility requirements.
